Competition Information

The Island Games is a functional fitness competition, where teams are expected to carry out a number of timed workouts across the weekend. 

No matter your fitness background or experience, the Island Games is for you. Whether you are a seasoned CrossFit athlete, Hyrox contender, F45 enthusiast or an advocate for the boutique fitness studio round the corner, our experienced head of programming Will Kane, is designing workouts suitable for all levels. 

The competition is for mixed teams of 4, two males and 2 females, split into 2 categories: Mixed Elite & Mixed Everyday. Whichever you choose, expect challenging workouts on the beach, aimed at testing your strength, strategy, stamina and teamwork.

Category Information:

The Mixed Everyday category is the perfect opportunity to get a proper taste of fitness and fun, with friends, all whilst receiving the full athlete treatment. New friends, athlete bags, professional photos and hopefully a tan.

The Mixed Elite category is for those who have competed a number of times in similar events before, train regularly and love pushing themselves (and their friends) when it comes to a competition.

Competition Itinerary: 
 

Registration will take place on Friday 9th May between 12pm and 3pm. We will then kick off the weekend of competition on Friday night, with all the teams aiming to complete the first workout while the sun sets. Saturday will include an all day competition for all teams, comprising of three to four workouts. We will finish off the sweat fest by Sunday lunch time, where we say goodbye to trainers and hello party, to finish off the games in style.
